The truth hurts. Sometimes it kills.
When Atlanta journalist J.D. Bragg chases a story back to the Carolina mountains where he grew up, little does he know it will put his life—and his whole family’s lives—in grave danger.
Follow J.D. Bragg, banged up and bummed out ex-college quarterback, a city boy with country roots, stubborn to a fault, as he sets out on a dangerous hunt for the truth. The trail leads him back to the picturesque Upcountry of South Carolina where he was born, and where a once-remote and native landscape is rapidly changing by high-end real estate developments, gated communities, million dollar homes, and exclusive golf courses—and a greedy, exploitative man who doesn’t mind a little murder to get what he wants.
J.D. Bragg is a man who never met a wrong he didn’t want to right. For fans of C.J. Box’s Joe Pickett, John Sanford’s Virgil Flowers and Greg Isles’ Penn Cage, CADILLAC TRACKS is a perfect read.
“Can’t wait for the next book! by GinnyReader”
I am from the area that is the setting of this book. I recognized many of the places and character names. While I tend not to get into any kind of series books, I’m so glad I did with this book! I can’t wait for the next one to come out. I’m recharging my Kindle right now!
John David, JD, is a character! He is not good at following rules that allow him to maintain consistent employment, has broken many hearts (apparently), knows his stuff journalistically, but I liked most that he loves his sister and family. There are twists and turns, and surprises, in this novel. I never anticipated who would have killed Grandfather. Well done!
